hope in God

To day’s reading taken from Psalm 62.
Before we read the Bible, Laura, Pak Jun, and I wil sing a song about hope..Indonesian song.
The lyric of the song tell us about :
Not because of our strength that we can survive in this life, but because of the strength that come only from God, because there is hope in God.

We will learn a bout hope a gain David..
Let’s open Psalm 62 (I will read the Bible)

In this book of Psalm, I will divide this Passage in to three stanzas.
From 1st stanza, we can find the information
verse 1-4 – I give the title declaration of trust in God
we know that David is in trouble again.(3-4)
He surrounded by enemies.He’s seeing men in high places commit injustice.Toppling people.Oppressing others.
When David see this, David’s soul is oppressed, not happy.Fellow teacher, in this kind of situation, he declares his trust in an all powerful God.
He is not murmur.Not complaint against God.
He just goes to God because he knows that from God his salvation(2).
2nd stanza, we can find the information
I give title An Exhortation to trust in God (5-8)
1. David to him self (5)-wait
In this stanza, David say to him self,’ self you’ve got to be patient, God’s ways are not your ways. If your hope really in Him, you’re going to wait.You’re going to have to be patient.
2. David to you and me (8)-trust
David ask you and me to trust to God in all time.
For God is our rufuge.
In this stanza also I found informations that David has experienced God in his life ,so he ask us to trust in God alone.
3rd stanza , we can find the information
Lesson from the fallen world ( 9-12)
In this passage David shares, the wisdom for life because of the power and goodness of God. He shares with us life lesson for a fallen world.( 9-10)
In this stanza we find the information that David realize that living in wicked life is nothing, like teke pride in stolen goods.
Also in this this stanza we find the information that David only see the bigness and greatness of God.(11-12)
From the book of David we learn:
Trust in God;wait in God;hope in God.Because our God is so Wonderful God.
Fellow teachers, maybe our life to day getting worst, seems there is no way out, so dark.like David has ,let’s hope in God.
Like my previous song lyric: God is the one and the only hope in our life.
